dir. Helena BanksI think it’s safe to say that this track is certified ICONIC status in the DC underground. Released this past January, “After F” is one of the most memorable performances ever by the late great Avionadramida. When he unexpectedly and tragically passed away over the summer, many of his friends and fans tweeted the lyric, “The CarryOut, I order up, a bad bitch and a steak and cheese!” to make light of the situation and remind themselves of Avion’s humor that always put a smile on their faces. This track also served as a precursor to Sir E.U’s new humorous yet intense stream of consciousness wordplay barrage style that he continued to refine for the rest of the year. For many, this was also an introduction to the production styles of DMV beatmaker Jay Preme, who provided one of the most turnt up instrumentals ever heard in 2012.
